Vegetable Stew With Herby Dumplings
The pearl grain makes this swither really lusty - perfect for a nipping season eve
Ingredients :
1 tbsp olive oil
350g eschalot
, peeled
2 leeks
, thickly sliced
½ swede
, sliced into chunks
2 parsnips
, quartered
350g Chantenay carrot
175g pearl barley
225ml unintegrated intoxicant
1l stemlike capital
1 bay folio
3 sprigs thyme
bantam collection parsley
, finely chopped
For the dumplings
100g self-raising flour
50g tasteless butter
50g fruiting cheese
cheese, grated
2 tsp exquisitely cut crisp herb
1 tsp unspoilt thyme leaves
Instructions :
Change oil in a significant casserole containerful. Add shallots and prepare for 5-6 mins until turn to change and brown. Add leeks for 2 mins, then move in swede, parsnips and carrots.
